A Work in Progress

I am a filmmaker, editor, essay-film artist and lecturer based in Düsseldorf, working across documentary cinema, audiovisual storytelling, artistic research and commissioned productions.

For more than twenty years, I have explored the relationship between moving images, philosophy, memory and culture through films, video works, educational initiatives and collaborative projects presented internationally in festivals, museums, cinematheques, universities and cultural institutions.

My work often emerges from encounters with philosophical ideas, historical archives and social realities. Through documentary film, essay film, audiovisual experiences and artistic research, I seek to develop what I think of as audiovisual forms of thought - practices that connect images, ideas and lived experience.

I am interested in the ways cinema can function not only as a medium of representation, but also as a space for inquiry, reflection and encounter.

I am available for collaborations, commissioned productions, workshops, lectures and research-based audiovisual projects.
